TDCJ Releases for Erath Cases

A favorable parole vote does not prove physical release. It may include a future date, a program requirement, or another condition. Use an actual release date and a status consistent with parole, mandatory supervision, or discharge.

An Expected or Projected Release Date estimates an institutional exit if earlier parole does not occur. Release Date records an actual event for the listed TDCJ episode. Erath TDCJ Parole Office
TDCJ’s county assignment directory maps Erath County parole and mandatory-supervision cases to the Mineral Wells District Parole Office in Region II. The field office can address public confirmation questions about state supervision, subject to confidentiality. It is not a jail and does not release inmates from a prison gate.

TDCJ Release Versus Discharge
Release from the institution and completion of the sentence can be years apart. TDCJ defines Discharge Date as the date an inmate completes the sentence and is released from incarceration, parole, mandatory supervision, or community supervision. By contrast, Projected Release Date is a Classification and Records calculation for release from incarceration if parole does not happen sooner.

General email service does not provide photographs. No authoritative source reviewed established that an ordinary released-person search displays a photo, so a TDCJ mugshot should not be promised.
Texas public-information law applies to existing government records with statutory exceptions. Ask for electronic copies and accept lawful redaction or withholding. A release certificate can show conditions and the relevant release form. A discharge document addresses sentence completion. Neither should be confused with the Erath County Jail transaction that documented the earlier transfer into TDCJ.

TDCJ Release Date Changes
A future date can move because the classification record changes, good-conduct time is lost or recalculated, a detainer appears, a court changes the sentence, or parole action changes. Government Code Chapter 498 governs TDCJ good conduct time. Chapter 508 contains offense-specific parole and mandatory-supervision rules. There is no blanket Texas 85-percent release rule.
Good conduct time may affect classification and eligibility calculations, but it does not erase the sentence as a simple day-for-day promise. Parole eligibility is the first date the Board may act, not a scheduled departure. A favorable vote can still require processing, an approved plan, a program, or resolution of a hold. Only the final status and actual release event confirm the gate exit.
